I am working on my permanant layout in my basement and I need more 022 switches. Here is my problem. I have a seller that has them for $45/pair but he will not have them until next saturday. I need 2 pairs of them. But, I need them now. So, I called about 4 or 5 hobby shops in my area and they all say they have them, but they are $100/pair. I was like wow. I looked on ebay, they go for about $45/pair as well, but take about 3 or 4 days to get here. So, you think I should wait til next saturday to get 2 nice pairs boxed from a friend or just try ebay?? Shipping is what hurts. Like $8 or $9 for shipping and the ones for $45/pair i can drive and pick them up, less than 5 miles away. This whole situation has me on hold for a week more. I have so much to do, and i cannot do anything more until I get them two pairs of switches. I could take 2 pairs of switches from another part of the layout and do it that way, but i will still be back where i started. Humm. I guess I will have to wait til next saturday. I never knew until now how important 022 switches can be. You really need them. Thanks.
Hi. This is jim r. I have refurbished over 300 pair of 022 switches. I may be able to help you.
let me know
You have a message…Thanks.

Why do you have to have them “:now”? An older gentleman once told me when you get in a hurry is when you start spending money. He was right. You don’t need them now-you want them now.I’d wait over that much money. No doubt at all. Part of the fun for me is waiting for things I order to arrive in the mail.This is a hobby-not a job to be done on a schedule.
That is very true. I will wait til saturday then. Problem solved. I am only a few steps away from completion. Just need to get 4 more switches, wire them up, Secure my elevated train tressels, add buildings and lights for them, and wire up my 71 lamp posts. I think I have like 16 of them. What is the best way to wire up multiple 71 lamp posts?? Could I run ground to a ground strip, and power to a power strip then to transformer?? Thanks.
I would avoid new #22 switches!!!
The work poorly compared to post war #22 switches!!!
And they are way overpriced as well!!!
I used one new #22 switch on my layout and 10 post war #22 switches on my layout!!!
The new one is a constant problem !!!
I am replacing it with a post war #22 switch!!!
Save yourself money and headaches by going with a post war model !!!
