027 switch lights

HY GUYS
A while ago I read an article asking how to wire lights for the control panel and trackside. I use a micro swtich from Radio Shack and attach it with hot glue or super glue to the lionel switches, so that the spring arm is activated by the switch. I use this as the ground circuit for lights on the control panel and track lights. When the train crosses the switch the lights change direction. I have used red and green lights on my layout. I have lionel l;ights and have made some of my own signal lights. Hear are some pictures of my switches and lights and I use cardboard with ground cover attached to protect the wiring.
Hope this helps someone . BY BYMODEL A

I guess there’s more than one way to skin a cat. I mount microswitches flat on the deck of the turnout, with the lever going into the housing through a slot and engaging another slot cut into the plastic throw rod. I use them not for signals but for routing power to sidings.
