I’m tempted by the swing span, but I don’t want all the others. Do you think they’d break up the set?
Ed
PS: Maybe someone would like to go in on buying the whole bridge and take the other spans. Anyone??
I would be tempted but it’s not my scale! [:D]
“Hi, Honey, I’m home.”
“Have you been at the hobby store again?”
“Well, not exactly…”
I can just hear my wife now… "What do you mean exactly by, “I bought a bridge off some guy I met down at the VFW?”
I heard of a guy trying to sell the Eiffel tower in Paris… [(-D]
What on earth would one do with a bridge in Keokuk? Sit by it and read “Tom Sawyer”?
What, pray tell, would one do with a bridge at Remagan?
I’d make an offer but I’m already two months past due on my American Express Card!
Last I visited the Rhine (early twenty-first century), there was no bridge at Remagan. Boy! was that a disappointment!
Mark
Although the bridge did withstand the Wehrmacht´s attempt to blow it up, Patton´s tanks and Jeeps finally made it to give in… [(-D]
You can still see the abutments on both sides of the Rhine River.
Funny that everybody seems to know Remagen… [swg]

Sorry, Patton and the Third Army did not cross at Remagen, it was Hodges with the First Army.

… wasn´t around at that time. [swg] Was Hodges the guy with the oranges and the Hershey candy bars? He won the hearts of a million kids…
