1:24 figures

Hi Guys,

Do any of you know of a source for 1:24 scale figures? I’ve found “G”, 1:22.5, and 1:20.5 scale figures, but no 1:24.

Thanks

Walt

Hi Walt,
Haven’t found anything here yet. Checked with a local toy store called “Toad Hall Toys”. They are exclusive in that they deal in all the rare and hard to find. They also are an LGB dealer which helps. We did some digging there through catalogues and what not. Nothin’. Rene did a thread a while back on Large Scale People and we all had the same beef. Too pricey, ugly, won’t fit etc. If I come across anything you can be sure I will post for all to see. Sun is shining…time to garden eh. Later eh…Brian.

I have had a hard time with this and as I thought more about people on the railways my thoughts passed to “not every body is the smae size.” But that is me.
Then when the 1:24 motor cycles came up I had a brain drain. IE:
Motor cycle 1:24…is this ok? Besides a 1:24 Bulldozer???
I have the scale of 1:18 to 1:36 of different diecast vehicles, construction, cars, cranes…etc… But where do I draw the line to make the scale not that noticable?

Hi Brian and Bluebonnet,

Thanks for the input. Finding anything except autos and some trucks in 1:24 is a real problem. Unfortunately I’m committed to that scale and will just have to make the best of it. Any ideas on how to make 1:22 and 1:20 figures smaller? I’ve tried shrinking the B"mann figures and the results were not exactly what I would consider show-winners.

Walt

A few years ago there was at least one 1/24 figure kit (mechanics) for use in 1/24 scale garage and racing dioramas I think they were made by Tamiya.

Just bought these Homies yesterday at the Kay Bee outlet in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and they seem to be quite comfortable outside of my Harley shop. $5 for the blister pack with three figures, plus the weightlifting equipment was included.

here are a few more sources of figures, some are 1/24 check websites for scale;

Go to www.g-scale-links.com , enter site and go to catagory 10, figures. There are 3 additional suppliers of figures.

Just Plain Folks

Model Citizens and

People You Need To Know

These are smaller companies that specialize in figures. Some better than others. I think I’m going to mix and match my figures, no ONE company

Railroad Avenue also has train some figures.

Priesler has some very good figures but you have to look harder for older era or non-Euro figures. 1/22.5

Bill what are Hommies, is this a polite word for homsexuals if so we call them poofs in Australia.

Here is a site relating to Homies, a series of action figures sold in many toy stores and discount stores such as Wal-Mart and Kmart:

With my father watching “Gunsmoke” and there intersting slang “back in dem days” Yall just crack me up. Not being mean!!! So please don’t take it like that but a Poof…I love it, I learned a new word today[:D]
See how quickly you can pick up a bad word…[:)][:D][:)][:D]

Ian
Thats not very nice or PC correct, calling shirt lifters poofs.

Hi Walt,
I don’t know if any of these 1:24 figures are still available.

Auto & race car drivers…by FUJIMI

Campus Friends…by TAMIYA

Mining figures to go with their mine train…HERB DEEKS-Models

Large selection of 1:24 figures…Scale Equipment Ltd… http://www.seltd.net

Large selection of 1:24 figures…Jimmy Flintstone Studios

Ian, dont you watch American TV?[V]

Some words of advise…if when you get to America to visit Disneyland you happen to run across a group of boys with shaved heads, tattoos, and dressed similarly with there baggy pants dropping halfway down there boxer shorts with t-shirts or tank tops on, DO NOT call them Homosexual unless you want to be slightly Dead! [xx(][B)][:0]

Hommies is short for “Home Boys” meaning roughly “Friends from my Home turf” its a term used to describe street gang members here, most are bad customers [:(!] and they dont like being refered to as Poof’s [:0], even if they do spend a lot of time in prison…[;)][:o)]

Heres another source for 1/20 and 1/24 figures Carlo Spirito is producing a new line of figures in the two scales…
