Does anyone use 1:50 scale vehicles and people? If so, do you have any pictures of how they look next to trains?
Thanks,
Chris

Look at it this way 1:50 is two steps smaller than 1:48 and 1:43 is 5 steps bigger than 1:48 both look good with O scale just don’t place a 1:43 and a 1:50 next to each other.
I use John Deere tractors, dozers and etc. in 1:50. Looks great.

you will find that many of your buses, trackors and constrution equipment is at 1:50. Arttist makes people at both 1:43 and 1:50.
most of these people are either 1:48 or 1:50 next to 1/43 cars.
Yes, nice Chuck !! Here’s a sister ship to yours !!
Thanks, John
Now why didn’t the magazine send me one of these in the mail instead of that dvd, which I sent back!

The magazine didn’t send this to me. I bought it from DieCast.
I was given a Gorgi Lionelville Pine Peak Tree Farm truck as a gift. It is 1:50 and is on my layout now. Along side of my 1:48 trucks, it does look a little “out of range” BUT standing by itself, it looks just fine.
I have 1:43 and 1:50 people. (I realize that it is not “politically correct” to segregate people but on my layout, they are not mixed) Sorry that I have no pictures to share.
PS I also have those giant Lionel guys that pop out of their sheds to signal the on-coming trains…The 1:43 and 1:50 people don’t seem to mind!
Thank you for all the replies and the pictures!
That gives me a great idea of how sizes look and work together.
I’ve been having a very hard time finding family cars from the 1930’s - 1940’s. But if Gary Larson can mix cavemen and dinosaurs in the “Far Side” cartoons, then I can probably mix '56 Chevys with 1930’s & 1940’s era trains.
Thanks,
Chris
