10 out of 7 people

have trouble doing fractions…

and 3 out of 5 of us seem to have emotional issues about that…

Couldn’t resist[:D]

If 10 out of 7 have problems with fractions…

Wouldn’t that be 5 out of 3 have emotional issues with them? Everyone knows you have to divide by 2 to reduce 10/7ths !

Find the lowest common denominator…

A 21 year old high school graduate living at home, earning just over minimum wage at a convenience store?

Dan

Nope. LCD has no job, at least 3 kids by different women and child support for each from a different state. Lives at whatever overpass will shelter him, unless he’s found a new ho’… Likely to be dealing drugs or struck by a passing train.

You mean he 's a railfan?

…or a surveyor without any on-track safety training or flagman dealing with a railroad boundary.[:-,]

By the way, it is at LCD. To reduce it by a factor of two would make it 5/3.5 not 5/3. Time to start up additional junior high math skill questions like:

  1. How do I figure tha radius or diameter of a circle?

  2. How do I figure grade %?

  3. How fast do my trains go?

  4. How long is a scale mile?

  5. Why won’t my Big Boy go around my 15" radius curves in HO?

Measure the circumference and divide by pi (3.14159)

Amount of rise in 100 feet (1 foot rise = 1%). That does not take into consideration compensation for curves.

Probably faster than the prototype.

An HO scale mile is 60.69 feet. Unless you’re talking scale time miles (smiles), which for a 12:1 fast clock would be just over 5 feet.

Same reason a real Big Boy won’t go around a 45 degree curve (which equates to an 18" radius curve in HO). A 5 degree curve (still somewhat sharp by prototype standards) works out to a 13 foot radius in HO.

Does this mean I have a personality disorder?

10 to 7 is the ratio a shipper uses when loading a car. 10 tons per 7 tons per car. It is a common fraction used in the industry.

10 out of 7 people might think so. But, they’re probably among the 50% who are of below average intelligence.

Would you like fries with that?

There are 3 types of people, those who can count, and those who can’t.

Actually, there are 10 types of people, those who understand binary, and those who don’t.

  • … . .-. . / .- .-. . / …— / - -.-- .–. . … / — …-. / .–. . — .–. .-… . --…-- / - … — … . / .-- … — / …- -. -… . .-. … - .- -. -… / – — .-. … . / -.-. — -… . --…-- / .- -. -… / - … — … . / .-- … — / -… — -. .----. - .-.-.-

And, 47.3% of statistics are made up on the spot. (I’m impressed with the 10 types of people/binary one!)

HAHAHA!!! That is funny!

7 out of 10 of my personalitys agree 5/3 of the time [swg][swg][swg][swg][swg][swg][swg][:O][:O][:O]

or should that be 0111 out of 0001-0000 of my personalitys agree 0101 / 0011of the time ???[:D]

Or rather, 11 personalities out of my 7 waterfalls might agree 5 times out of 2----well kinda --sorta

Shocked

But do they give 110%?

They give 110% 63.34% of the time.

Remember Chad, there’s only 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those who don’t. (the first part should be 0111 out of 1010, unless you’re going with BCD)
