10-pin DCC plug?

Hi all,

I’ve just purchased a HOn3 Con-Cor galloping goose railcar, and it comes equipped with a 10-pin DCC plug, which looks exactly like the 8-pin connector, with two extras. Googling this only seems to bring up hits for a 10-pack of 8-pin connectors. Does anyone out there have this model, and if so, how is this configuration different to an 8-pin connection? Would I be able to use an 8-pin plug decoder?

Thanks in advance,

tbdanny

Pins nine and ten are for sound equipped locos. This TCS in a Concor Zephyr will show you and explain the other pins. http://www.tcsdcc.com/public_html/Customer_Content/Installation_Pictures/HO_Scale/Con_Cor/Burlington_Zephry/con_cor_burlington_zephry.htm

Pete,

Thanks for the reply and link. I’ll have to check out the model’s documentation when it arrives, to see if there’s any guide to how it’s wired. I’m thinking of putting a Tsunami in it.

Cheers,
