Heyy Guys I Have Just Planted the 100th tree on my layout. i bought a Heki Pack of 100 pine trees and i got them in the mail today! i was so happy and im even happier that my trees have been planted on my layout. it looks great as soon as i get batteries for my camera ill have pics!

Sounds great Kieth, I for one cant wait for the pics… trees are one of the things that make alot of difference to how a layout looks. I’m glad you are happy with yours.

Sounds like fun, or sounds like frustration. Its probably a relief that your finished. Hope it went pretty well.
I hope you found the results worth it…? That can only be described as a labour of love, from my way of thinking. And I had better love planting trees, too, because I am due to do a whole bunch in the next few weeks.

100 trees sounds like a lot, but they seem to vanish quickly on to the layout. Do you still have bare patches or did they do the job?
you hit the nail squarely on the head Simon, 100 sounds alot but when you think that each tree is only around 2" square the layout eats them up, I know from past experience I planted around 150 on a 2’ section and it still looked bare, I guess it depends on how dense you want the greenery, but I have seen the saying often… “you can never haver too many trees”
Trees in the foreground and “filler” behind is one way to overcome this, floral moss can be used as filler for one example.

I need lots of Pine Trees for my N scale layout. I looked up Heki and am guessing you purchased their “100 pine tree” pack. How tall are they, and would they be too tall for N scale? Too short? Just right?
I model N Scale and they are perfect size. they are2-3 inches tall they are perfect u have too drill holes instead of gluing them down but drilling holes holds it down better anyways and yes i bought the 100 pack and what a deal ive never used a tree system this easy and quick! it took me 15 minutes too load my n scale woth 100 pine trees!
