@Boxcar Bill - do you know if these smoke units would be better than the original units put in the PE engine back in 2004?

If you are running conventional and like smoke, and lots of it, install this resistor 691-RS18-OHM. Be advised if you run command you will have fire coming out the stack.

@Bill … I’m finding Lionel part # 691RESC018 … would this be it?

I’m using conventional mode and want my PE engine to smoke like crazy!

The 691RESC018 is ceramic coated, the 691RS18OHM is a wire wound. Just drop the - between numbers.
