1940's Lionel part #'s & cataloged items questions

Here’s a challenging question for you guys with catalogs or other lionel production lists.

Do any of the following #'s go together as sets?

Loco 1656 Tender 6403B

Loco 224E Tender 2666T

Loco 1664 Tender ?

Passenger cars: 2642 (X2), & 2643

Freight cars 6257X, 6456, & 6465

Just trying to make some sense out of a few random pieces to see if any were sold together or if they belong to a set or something. Thanks in advance. -B in B

railroaded,

I have Greenberg’s price guide and the first loco and tender you list go together, 1664 don’t have the tender listed, the 224E with a 2666T tender is not listed, I will say it is a possibility as Greenberg’s lists mainly the most common loco & tender combinations. I have a 249E with a unlisted tender by Greenberg’s price guide. What is the 2666T tender? How many wheels and what color and/or roadname is on it?

As for the freight and passenger cars, Greenberg’s pocket price guide don’t list sets.
