ok I took my childhood Lionel engine out of storage, cleaned the wheels, pick up rollers and oiled the drivers. It runs but not good at all.
Where can i find info on how ton service, maintain the loco?

You would likely get a lot more information on the ‘Classic Toy Trains’ forum.

The CTT (Classic Toy Trains) forum is probably your best bet:

Lionel shows about 750 entries on their site for steam engine manuals. I started going through them; but, hey, it ain’t MY problem. Plus, I don’t know exactly which loco I’m looking for.
Anyway, a person might check there.
Ed
Thanks I’ll check them both
Did you clean the track? Dirty track is usually the problem which causes poor preformance.
Could be a dirty commutator (clean with a pencil eraser) or worn out carbon brushes, easy to replace. mer
Running like a top! Tracks and wheels were clean, a drop of oil on the commutator ends and wa la.[:D]
