Guess what I was out doing tonight.???
No, its not mowing grass[:(]
I hope your thinking about the contest. I’d love to see more and more modern mainline folks.
Come ON, get those big diesels out there and get some photos.[^]
Thanks for the invite.
For those of you who say,
“why try, I’ll never win”
can be provine wrong.
I use contest as a personal challenge to move one step forward.
And don’t make this too hard, play with your cameras , test out different settings and lightings.
Also, the judges can’t enter, heheheheh so we don’t have to worry about them

Marty is right. Give it a try. If you don’t win the contest, there are other places to get your photo published (End of the line, web site, etc) that we use from photo contest submissions.
And also, it’s not only the judges that can’t enter, it’s anyone from Kalmbach. [:D][:D]
Thats a good point Rene, Last year I entered my first city wide contest and placed in all three photos, i was shocked.
I mainly wanted folks so see what outdoor modelrailroading was all about.
I have 3 great (in my opinion) shots from an open house that a member from my Garden RR club had. There are a lot more, but I narrowed it down to those 3.

Nice shots, good looking RR.
I don’t really think you will get junk mail from entering the contest.
I’ve enter the last many years and can’t think of any junk that came from them using my address
