Sirs:Why did you not cover the Bachman ON30 introduction of its new Hesiler ?(At the NMRA convention).Reply at Insteam@aol.com-Thanks
I can’t wait until Bachmann releases their Alco 2-6-0. It looks like a dead ringer for the GB&W No. 56 built by Alco in 1921!
I must admit that I was more than disappointed with Walther’s release of the PS 4000 gon. As sophisticated as today’s tooling can be and is, the model reflects tooling of the early 1980s with it’s cast on end ladders. It didn’t need to be done to Tangent or Exact Rail levels, but they missed teh mark completely by tooling the dies the way they did. For a car that would be a home run if done to a better standard, Walther’s struck out with this.
Bachmann Heisler looked great!!
It was my first time to attend a National Train Show. I do not have my own display, but I have been subscribing to “Model Railroader” for about 10 years now. It gave me a chance to see all the products and meet all the people associated with the magazine. In the 6hrs I was there on Friday July 8, I only was able to go through about half of the show. I really enjoyed talking with the Manufacturers Reps. and the layout operators.
The quality of some of the pictures are horrible. Many pictures are dark and some look like the pictures were taking by a 5 year old!
Wow…what a new line up for HO scale modeling…that Bowser C-630M is very inviting…I’ve got several nice Bowser Alco’s and that is a another beauty…good show MR
keep up the good coverage of the new products. Athearn, what are you thinking? Do we need ANOTHER DDA40X? How many do you realistically expect to sell? Especially at that price!
Love those “N” scale N6A and N9A NYC / PC transfer cabooses from Traincat! Much overlooked caboose…wish someone would come out with a HO scale plastic ready to run version!
Glad to see Kadee offering more trucks. The photos are hard to see, however.
Thanks for the report!
When is some one going to bring out DCC ready or sound units in the Leigh & Hudson River RR?
Wow !!! Very good news for modelers in general and for Pennsy N scalers in particular.Apparently the MTL heavyweight 3-2 lounge observation looks promising in tuscan red and black but the paramount news is the etched-brass N6b wood sided cabin car by Train Cat. No more begging to Walthers to shrink their nice HO model. It would be really terrific if any of the MR experts compiled a comprehensive article for beginners covering the assembly, painting and decaling of such kind of models.
looks good worlds greats hobby is true
Looks a bit thin on N Scale especially in locomotives. Are the manufacturers just not developing new N scale products or is there something more to come?
I saw nothing that said “…I need this, and I need it now!”
Great work
Alot of nice new releases the new MTH weathered locomotives are nice, more intermodel cars would be nice. Athearns new DD40x is nice, but a bit overpriced, the new athearn loco’s need more weight they would run alot better, especially the SD70ace, they are terrible, can you spell JUNK.
I like how MTH www.mthhotrains.com is offering factory weathered trains. I know some folks would prefer to do their own weathering, but I think it’s cool you can buy a factory weathered product.
