2011 National Train Show preliminary report

Great news. I can’t wait to get my hands on an EM-1!!
Best, Andy

Boy do I see things that I want in the future. May be hard on the billfold

Nothing new in 1/29 scale?

This was a very informative presentation and it provided some planning ideas for the future of my layout. WELL DONE!

There is lots of good stuff to get and I like what I see. What I really like is the Athearn Genesis GP 9s that are coming out. The Seaboard Air Line GP 9 has really cought my eye and I hope to buy it but not at list price because I have to see who has the lowest price for that locomotive that I would like to add to my collection of GP 9s I have in my collection.

It’s about time the B&O EM-1 was again made available in HO. I believe the last one was an Akane brass model some 40 years ago. I hope this one performs half as well.

Great items are on the way. Wish I could have attended the
show.

Anything in G scale?

it is nice to see what’s new for those of us that could not make it out west, thanks MR and keep up the great coverage of the hobby

you have great articals and great info keep up the good work

Great new equipment

It would be great to see some city structured layouts/products/ideas. My current layout of a simple twice around will consist of a center based city with urban area outside tracks. Love the magazine, keep up the good work,Ive passed on my railfanning to my grandson, who, when he comes over, loves to sit and watch my ho layout for hours.

Great info on the new products coming out.

It would be nice to see more N-scale stuff!

Looking forward to getting a close-up of the El Capitan cars.

Looks like another awesome year for us modelers. Going to be another impact on the credit cards. I did not see Athearn’s DDA40X, but I know about the announcement. Same for the Walther’s/Life Like re-release of the SD45 w/Tsunami sound. Can’t wait.

Jim

No G-Gauge?

Again Highly Overscaled is over presented compairde to Normal-scale, especially the structure manufacturers should see that there is a huge market for City buildings and large industries in N-scale rather then HO. Besides having more possibilities to place large buildings, N-scale is more difficult to scratchbuild, so we would appreciate kits.

What’s happening to N scale? We used to have at least half as many new locomotives as HO and sometimes more. Now, the pickings are pretty slim and mostly just repaints and reruns.

How about it, manufacturees? We’re still out here and still ahve some formindable buying power.
