2013 New Locomotive Construction
Canadian National didn’t order ES44C4’s.
Although this list does not cover tier 4 production; it is sad to hear that the new “EMD” will not be producing production locomotives until 2017. My father in law worked for the real EMD’s 103rd st. plant in Chicago producing the famous bulldog cabs and finished his career at LaGrange ill.
Of course things change just as EMC left Cleveland for Illinois; but it is kind of sad that not only cannot EMD compete with GE during regular times; that even when owned by CAT. they cannot come up with a clean engine in time for 2014 production. Unbelievable .
