I have a Lionel 2-6-2 steam locomotive with road number 224 that I think was made in 1941. The headlamp in it is burned out. Does anybody know the part number and a source for a new one? This engine goes back a little before my time. Incidently, it is one of the smoothest and quietest engines I have.

The part # for the Light Bulb is 27-3 which is the prewar number. It is also known as a #432 as a result of a number change for light bulbs in 1950. It is a Large Globe & a 12 volt bulb. Try Jeff Kane at the Train Tender Website & see if he has any of the original 27-3s. if not, then he would have the 432s as a replacement bulb for you. Take Care.
