2300HRS On The West Coast. Can't Sleep? Here Ya Go.

This is CPRs Angus Shops in Montreal, post WW2. There is one person in the photo. Can you find him?

Brent,

Can’t sleep? This is my normal up time. Saw the pic. before, but can’t find him now. I bet if it was the Mini Lion, I would have a better chance. [Y]

Frank

Easy, he’s behind the camera taking the picture.

But if He was behind the camera taking the photo, he couldn’t possibly be in the photo. Unless he used a timer. I don’t believe they had them, post WWII. [:D]

Frank

He´s on that ladder on the second loco to the rear on the left side, right?

Ulrich,

That would be my guess also. But I have a question. I grew up in the 40’s and don’t recall playing any ‘‘shoot Waldo’’ game, that they talk about in the pic’s info. What did Waldo look like? Anybody?

I have a faint idea, but not sure.

Young Man, ??

Frank

Here comes Waldo:

I tink, this is Him:

Nah ! It wasn’t Waldo . It was Kilroy .

GOOD ONE! [Y]

Frank

Gidday Brent, I’ve tried enlarging the photo but only manage to get it too pixilated, though probably I need new specs, but is there a chap to the right of, and partially obscured by a sand dome on the floor in the left hand aisle between the two second from the front locos??

Great Photo anyhow, thanks for sharing.

Cheers, the Bear.[8-|]

I think you’ve got it Bear. Just because I posted the photo, doesn’t mean I know the answer. But now I do.[(-D]

There are many people in the photo but they are moving, and the long exposure renders them invisible.

You may very well be right Dave. Looking at that one again and other photo’s on the site, there appears to be a few “ghost” wondering around.[:O]

Here is the page. Interesting read on Loco maintenance with lots more photo’s.

Brent,

That is where I got the ‘‘shoot Waldo’’ game info. But I still can’t find the guy and they don’t say where he’s at, unless I missed it. [:D]

To get things started, here is the “textbook” photograph of Angus at work after World War Two … the photo beloved and used by all.
But … do you see any workers ?
One did get into the photo by accident.

(Play that “Shoot Waldo” game the kids love so much, and see if you can hunt him down!)
