It’s that time again, to recognize the members of the forum that make this such an …uhh…an…interesting place to be. The awards will be held at the Depot DIner and Coffee shop. Please wear something nice or else everyone will make fun of you and gossip behind your back when you walk the red carpet.
All righty then…at the end of Day 3, the nominations so far…(I had to alter a few but tried to keep the intent). To minimize space I will post this at the top of the thread. Categories and nominations are open to all…
And I corrected the Cheesie to Chessie…sorry
Most popular thread (non-fiction)…- dgwicks for “The MIlwaukee Road”

Most popular thread (fiction)…
detective_cinderdick for “Don’t worry detective_cinderdick is here”
found the mat all clean now. Most informative poster has to be Mr. Mark Hemphill.Subject that was the most watched and anticipated the files of Detective Cinderdick.

Because I live on the other side of the world, it is convenient for me to read posts whicle sensible residents of the USA are sleeping.
One night this week I saw a posting entitled “Need a Mechanic” (or something like that). There were two posters named “Evil Engineer” and “Evil Conductor”, who had not been seen before (or since). This seemed to me to be an obvious case of multiple (forum) personality disorder, worthy of Jim Carey’s performance in “Me, Myself and Irene”.
I can’t really think of a title for the award for this. I haven’t found the posting since and don’t neccessarily believe that it was there, but there was no reason for greater hallucination at that time than normal (for me).
Dan usually sees all of these oddities - perhaps he could nominate an award for this type of posting!
With regard to personality disorder, I think it’s safe to say that Clevelandrocks, trainfinder22, Detective_Cinderdick and kissmycaboose are all one and the same. You can tell by the consistent misspelling of certain words, the irrational statements, and the wild suggestions that his/her/its posts all come from the same person.
I think Evil Engineer is someone new, but Evil Conductor is probably someone else who uses the forum regularly and created an alias to pick on Evil Engineer.
With a total of six Cheesies, the winner is the Saga of Cinder ***. It swept the “Most Entertaining” and “Most Printed Topic” categories. It not suprizingly picked up the “Best Film Noir Story” and easily got the “Best Topic Started By Trainfinder22-Cinder_Dick-KMC7-etc.”. dharmon was also able to get the “Best Story Adapted from Garbage” Cheesie. This phonomial topic also waked away with the “Most Anticipated for a New Post”. Somehow it didn’t win the “Best Topic of the Year”, probably because of it’s banishment in certain parts of the world.
Somehow Cinder was also nominated for and won “Best Film Editing” from the Moving Picture Association and the “Best Album” Grammy.
I liked Smoke, Sparks, and Scary Noises. I have found Overmod’s insights enlightening also, though for most poeple his technical jargon can be criptic.
Sorry I haven’t been around much, I’ve been a combination of busy and tired.
