'30's '40's '50's cars in 1/64

I’m getting the roads on the layout down and I’m looking for period cars from the '30’s to the early '50’s to match as closely as possible my S scale American Flyer layout. I don’t want the fat tire and chrome wheels on so many of the cars you find at the toy stores. Where would be a good source?
Thanks
Jim

Not to sound wise but Try Walthers and see what “S” scale they have. ALSO search the internet, you may get a good hit.
Good luck

1/64 is a very popular diecast truck scale. There may be more trucks available in 1/64 than in any other scale. Unfortunately there are realitively rew really good model cars.

Would Johnny Lightning cars work? I’ve seen a few 1950s and '60s cars in their line. Very few have the huge tires that you don’t want.

I’ve used a few Jonny Lightning and they are nice, like stated earlier, more trucks than cars. Road Champs has some too. Still looking.
