'36s, cabbages, and other "still not out theres"

I’m wondering why there still aren’t any plastic MP36 models out there. With the third user (New Mexico Rail Runner) I would think that there’d be a good market for them. There are cars out there for Metra, NMRR, im not sure about Caltrain; so why no MP336. The only option for Metra is the Trainline F40 or a Kato RTA F40; for NMRR only an Athearn F59 (which is unprototypical since NMRR doesn’t use the F59). LIke I said I don’t know much about Caltrain models (hint hint Caltrain fans).

I’m also curious as to why there aren’t any models of Amtrak’s CabBagge (or if there are where I can find one [D)][#wstupid]). If one doesn’t exist how hard would it be to convert a F40 into one? I have an old RTA F40 that had some “engine issues” a while back and is now a dummy, I’m not sure who made it.

I want to know why there’s no decent Canadian-prototype steam available in plastic? The prototype is large, fascinating, and chances are if you’ve seen steam run over the past 40 years, it’s been Canadian.

Sorry to steal the topic, but let’s face it, kitbashing a cabbage is simple: strip the guts from a LL engine and cut in two roll away doors. And compared to Canadian steam, NOBODY’S seen a cabbage!

Compared to an FL-9, NOBODY has seen Canadian steam or a cabbage!

Geez the FL-9 excursion brought out thousands on a rainy day, the New Haven dominates the model market in many aspects, and they are good for 1957-2006+ for a bunch of railroads between the massive cities including Boston, New York City, Albany, etc… Duh!

I wanna FL-9! Huzzah!

To kitbash a cabbage, just take whole cloves, paint them light green, and stick them in your HO scale victory garden!

Good one!! [(-D][(-D]

Didn’t Bachmann once make an F40 in their non-Spectrum line? If so, it won’t be too expensive to cut up.

As for Metra, why not turn back the clock and run green E units?
