I’ve been following that technology. It’s really interesting. I still think it’s further off than 4-5 years. With decal paper costing what it does for just a few sheets, I wonder what material refills for 3D printers will cost?[:-^]
I believe this started at MIT with a machine they called a Rapid Prototyper. I saw a show where they reproduced a human skull from a 3D scan for crime investigation.
Maybe we’ll have P2P sharing networks where people can bootleg Athearn BB construction programs.[:D]
You guys really need to read the article in this months Fine Scale Modeler. There’s an outfit called Print a part.com that will make a part,or a whole model, for you on your drawings
