OK! Read the article in Dec, 2003 Model Railroder for the 3rd generation DDC! Am interested in getting more information on this to make a decision as to get DDC now or wait for the 12 - 18 months for NMRA standard products to hit the market!

The problem with waiting is that you get to miss all the fun meantime and you learn nothing whilst you wait. With that said I think the main difference in the latest offering is that you can now have smart trains. 1st & 2nd generation decoders are ‘dumb’ doit boxes. I have had no interest in acquiring DCC until now.
