Hello!
I am working on cleaning up a Lionel 402E. Unfortunately 3 of the 4 tabs the hold the top of the brass side inserts are missing - no doubt broken off from metal fatigue over the years. Wondering if anyone has a time-honored and true method of handling this situation. My thoughts are going to a small amount of epoxy to hold the tops of the brass side inserts in place, but can’t help think there’s a more elegant solution - thank you!
