Hi everyone,
Where are the lube points on a 681 turbine?
Thanks in advance
Tom
Put a drop behind each wheel and on each side rod pivot. Take the shell off using the two screws under the cab and the one at the front. Then, put a drop of oil in the small hole on top of the motor(but not in the hole in the brushplate-you’ll just be dumping oil all over the commutator).
Finally, pry the little silver plate at the end of the motor off to reveal the worm gear. Put a squirt of grease on top of this, lay the plate back over it, and replace the shell.
That’s it.
Yeah, I r emember reading that it’s really important to oil the drive gear rods when they are really used to deliver power as in the 681. IN spur drive like a 2026 or 2056 the rods just go along for the ride so it’s not necessary.
I’ve always followed this with my turbines and have never had a problem.

Thanks a lot guys-sure appreciate it!!
