8 pin connectors

Does anyone know where 8 pin connectors used for decoders can be bought??

Yes there are a number of places on the Internet. Google 8 pin NMRA connectors. Google should be your best friend.

Litchfield Station and Tony’s Trains are a couple I have used. Traintek is good also.

thank you. i use google for so much. i just could not figure out the wording to find these connectors.

They are called NEM 652 connectors. See here: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=nem+652+connector&qpvt=nem+652+connector+&qpvt=nem+652+connector+&FORM=IGRE

I buy dual row 40 pin socket strips, you can cut them any length. Jameco stocks them, I buy mine off eBay.

They end up at 35¢ each. I use the same connectors in 2 to 10 pins for all kinds of connectors on my layout.
