86' high cube box car wheels

Hello, everybody.

I model HO and have bought a 86’ high cube. The size of wheelsets, at scale, is 33". Don’t know whether this is prototypical or should they be 36".

I appreciate your information.

This is correct. Autoracks also use the smaller wheels. This is because smaller wheels make the extremely tall cars shorter to comply with clearance restrictions.
