This past summer I noticed railroads here in the northeast seem to be easing back on the paranoia that was created by 9/11. NS employee’s want to show off their heritage units allowing railfans to photograph in all area’s and at all angles. The 765 tour really opened things up. Even regional roads are seemingly more railfan friendly, allowing for train watching in area’s they previously were asking you to leave. Has there been any noticable change in your neck of the rails?
I suppose so, CSX trains seem to have a LOT more graffitti on them than they used to.
