I have a couple of nine volt batteries (Sears) that I want to charge up so I can have them ready for a train show in a couple of weeks when I try to sell a couple of MTH locos. I have not used the locos in about a year or so. I have shopped and found a couple around 25 to 30 dollars. Any advice on where I can get a less expensive charger? Thanks.
Try RADIO SHACK #23-437.
If you are charging MTH’s batteries for the DCS system I recommend getting the MTH charger from your hobby shop, not shure what the voltage is for MTH’s batteries.
The only other way to charge the MTH batteries that I have heard of is to let the engine sit on the track for about 7 to 8 hours with 3/4 power applied. To me a small battery charger uses less electric and is safer than the track method.

Thanks for the info.
