A big thank you to everyone.

A big thank you to all my nice friends at this great forum.

I was once a member at another forum (no name) where programming computers was the thing we did. Sometimes when people asked questions at that forum they recieved a lot of ‘BS’ about everything. It was not that helpful.

I can see a VERY big difference in this forum. Everyone is so helpful and nice. I know I have asked many ‘newbee’ questions here but I does not seems to matter. I always get nice answers. That’s why I like this forum so much. I can honestly say, without this forum I would not build model railroads.

I’m trying to help other newbee’s now when my skill is a little better then it was when I started to build. And it really feels good to help other people. Because I know how importent it is when your head is full of ???

So I want to thank everyone for their professional help. Looking forward to many great questions and answers in the future.

No thank you for asking questions. Without the person asking questions there wouldn’t be much discussion here.

P.s. I still haven’t devoloped the pictures from the truss bridge build. I finished it then life happened but I will get them up soon.

Electrolove’s questions are usually among the more interesting topic-starters. His problems are clearly described, and often include photos and diagrams to illustrate what he’s talking about. I learn a lot myself from the replies.

I agree 100 percent with MisterBeasley on that one!

I love reading the so-called “newbie” questions. Sometimes I laugh when I recall my confusion on that very topic and say “man, this internet forum thing is great!” Very often, even if the question is a “newbie” one, I’ll read about a technique or product that I’ve never heard of before - which is way cool. As long as I’m learning new tricks I guess I’m not an old dog!!

[#ditto] For every new person, or learning one, who asks a question, 60 others are silently saying, “Yyyyeeessssss!!!”. And, on this forum, when the replies pour in, which they inevitably do, 120 of us go, “What? I didn’t know that!”

At least, I’ll admit to doing just that. [:D]

I agree with all the posts here, electro.

I find your questions to be very practical, down-to-earth, and helpful to everyone. And when I know the answer, I enjoy helping answer your questions.

After nearly 40 years in the hobby, I sometimes forget that even so-called simple things need to be explained well. And that there was a time when I didn’t know it …

And the answers posted by others have also been full of clever ideas, some of which I’ve been able to use, too!

I am just starting out in HO modeling after 55 years of raising a family of 4. I have enjoyed this forum very much. The professionalism of members on this forum impresses me very much. I have asked questions that I am sure guys like Joe and others have heard over and over, but they never lose patience in their replies, which would be SO EASY to do. I have gained much info, and have received so many good ideas, that I hope I can remember them all. I have also been able to share my experience in the field of electronics with new members and some old timers as well.
Occasionally when we do get a member on the forum who gets out of line, the members are very quick to straighten the line.
Keep asking your questions, the only dumb question is the question that is never asked.

No thanks are necessary, electrolove. Helping others is why I belong to this forum, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I have learned a thing or three myself from other members.

It’s just too bad that some members seem to want to turn an answer into a flame-fest by providing a smart-aleck response to see how much anger that can generate, and Bergie then has to step in and delete threads.

That’s why we get the big bucks, wait to you get our bill at the end of the month ! LOL
have fun ! !
