A big thanks to everyone.

While I am new to model trains well mostly new I had a 4x8 layout when I was a child that my father built for me but that last time I saw that was 20yrs ago, anyways I’ve been researching model trains for the last 2 years (it took me that long to convince my wife to give up the basement I also believe on the 7 P rule) I decided to start with something small. After following advice I read in this forum I decided on a 4x8 track plan on foam made out code 83 sectional track on cork, so I wouldn’t get overwhelmed and give up. On monday my wife gave me a digitrax zephyr and tonight I put my first decoder in a P2K PA 15 minutes and it worked great except I used my right hand to hold the soldering iron and well that one has a problem with feeling so it took a while to feel the burning (oh well thats the price ya gotta pay right?). I probally don’t have to much to offer so I don’t post much I just wanted to thank all of you for helping me without knowing it. I have taken some pictures and will be posting them soon (well newly taken pictures can be seen here before I put them in an album but beware… Nothing bad they might be of a variety of subjects. http://leeville.lint-tech.com/new_photos/ )

Outogauge,

You’re off to a good start. Like your pictures - especially the P2K S1. Good choice! [tup]

outogauge- Hi Lee. That trolley looks like what I would have done with an iron.
Welcome and enjoy.
