board on board sounds kinda scary. but with coffee stirrers (about scale 5/4x6s in 1/24, if you want to measure) and sprue nippers, it really isn’t all that bad. It even goes pretty fast if you measure one, cut it, double check for fit, then match cut 20 or so more, glue down 19, then match cut some more…
The inspiration for the build came from the pumping stations used at the turn of the last century by the South Penn Oil Co, in fields from New York to West Virginia 
I made a few changes along the way, and it isn’t quite finished yet, but it looks like this at the moment
