I picked up the 2006 Rix Products catalog at Walthers the other day. It includes Rix (everything from structures, bridges, CTC knobs, uncoupling tools, switch machine brackets, and more) to Pikestuff (structures and parts but also passenger car window inserts, highway guardrails, and much more) to Smalltown USA (brick structures, parts, etc)
Rix is a small manufacturer but until you see their complete catalog you forget just how much stuff they offer for HO and N.
And alot of it is of the “why doesn’t someone make …” variety. For example, railroad telephone/telegraph poles and crossarms-- and the cross arms are available in green clear plastic, meaning if you just paint the “wood” portions you have perfect looking “glass” insulators – rather than trying to paint the insulator with metallic green paint which never looks like green glass. That is just an example.
I have no self interest here – just passing on the word that the Rix catalog is worth getting if you are in HO or N.
