I have been off here on Friday, i was working on a yard by my cement plant. To get to it I had to move a large 4 shelf bookcase, where I store unbuilt rolling stock. I started counting what was there,[:O] 42,42! These are brand new in the box and that doesn’t count a large tub full of bad order cars!
So if you dare count up your car kits, you to may have a big surpise.
Can’t wait theres a train show next weekend, maybe i’ll find something I must have??[}:)] Happy counting.

I came up with 51 kits. That’s just cars, that does not include locmotives. I know others have many more than that.

Are you asking how many rolling stock kit boxes I have stored away? Or, are you asking how many unbuilt rolling stock kit boxes do I have stored away. If the latter, zero. (If I buy 'em; I build 'em.) If the former, probably 30-35 kits.

One, maybe two, and bidding on two on e-Bay: At my house-GATX 30,000 gal tanker, Conrail 50’ Boxcar; on e-Bay- 2 3-dome tankers I guess I am not very well stocked…
3 unbuilt and 2 for repairs and 4 bidding on ebay. Have built 8 last two weeks a lot of stress out there. My doctor told me I needed to get a stress relief so I build cars lol (Thats my excuse and I am sticking to it!)[:-^]
Probably couldn’t count in 1 weekend!! Probably about like Don Z!! But I’ve been at it for 40++ years! Also have about a like number of built & R to R - that’s just the freight!![:D]

My count would be closer to 42 CASES… and that is no surprise let alone a big one.
I have 197 cars on the layout and only one in the box. Been off work from a recent foot surgery since Dec. 28 and have had plenty of time now to get all my kits done. Just wish i could get off these crutches and out of this cast to do some serious operating…(ah… layout operating not the surgical kind.)
What company makes this car? Or is it scratchbuilt?

Realizing that I’ve got no reason to visit the LHS: priceless.
How about this as an aside - as a help project for the 10 y o grandson, I started building my NEW Revell Schoolhouse!! Don’t have a clue anymore how long ago I bought this beauty, but it is surely over 24 years (at least 1 wife ago!!). Have at least 30 or more other “gems” like this!![:D]
Not too many car kits but over two dozen structure kits including 3 duplicates.
