A complete makeover

Good morning all. I am starting a complete tear down soon. I have learned alot in the past 3 years, one being to have a plan the other to build the bench work so all areas are accessible. I have a 12 by 22 foot area to work in and I want to do around the walls with a min. of 30 in. radius. Maybe a couple of peninsulas. I would like a double main with a continuous run if possible. I would like to see some overall views of some of your layouts if possible. I grasp the concept more by seeing something than just reading about it. This will be in HO scale. Thanks for all your help and ideas. My biggest issue right now is getting the courage to make that first swing of the hammer. Thanks Dave.

Want me to come over and do it for ya?[:-,]

Come on over Loather youre welcome any time. Ill be alright after that initial swing. Dave

A 12 x 22 foot space sounds like a single car garage. Try looking for track plans of that size (single car garage) in older MRR mags and in the track plan database on the MR site. You should be able to find quite a few since that seems to be a popular size.

Another thing that you may want to do, is list the features that you want for your new RR. Like the type of engine facilities; small, medium, or large, with turntable or not; full classification yard, hidden staging tracks, multiple levels, etc.

Also, do you plan on switching operations, or just letting the trains run? You should decide on what you want it to do so you can look and see if the plans that you look at will accomplish your desires.
