a couple questions about Gyrolights and/or MARS lights

A couple questions about gyrolights. Can anyone tell me how many railroads used gyrolights, I know SP. And are the gyrolight like things on CBQ,Frisco,NP and others Gyrolights, or arre they something else.

Gyralights were a competative product to the MARS light. Many original MARS light installations were later changed to simpler Gyralight configuration. MARS later built similar sealed beam units. For a complete history of the MARS/Gyralite:
