How imaginative! That’s the best ending that anyone could imagine. The trains and scenery are great, but the videography is nothing short of magnificent. Sounds and scenes are perfectly synchronized. Stereo sound, too. How about an article in CTT on the techniques, hardware and software that were all combined to produce this truly professional video?
Truly inspired cinematography. I half expected to see Gumby and Pokey appear at any moment. Very professional. The layout was terrific too.

Mr Johnson,
Are You the same Terry Johnson featured in TM Video years ago, Are You the Guy with the “hats”? if You are You have done a lot of work.
Hi Thomas, You are very observant, and have a better memory than I do.
Yes, I’m the same guy. Different home, layout, waist size and hair color but the same guy. I still have the hats though!
Inspiring watching your video and well put together. Great layout.
I have an old TM video of Terry’s earlier work. This one certainly shows his progress as a high-railer, and his earlier HO experience has served him well. Great trains, great layout, great camera work. Question: Terry, how can anyone put in this amount of time and $ and still have a wife who doesn’t mind the spare 14 minutes a week I can only surmise you have time for? hoho. Very inspiring…
Amazing…Amusing…Great Camera Work and Sounds. Are you just Union Pacific?
excellent video.
enjoyed the crane action.
Thank you all for your kind comments!
Dave, I pretty much just run MTH UP now but I run Lionel postwar for fun once in awhile.
Bryan, Ha! I still have the same lovely wife of 35 years, the same job, but I’m not so skinny anymore. The layout you see now took about 2 1/2 years from an empty basement to the point where the scenery is now. The last several years have been spent adding details and concentrating on the computerized special effects as seen in my other videos. My exposure to Tom McComas early on helped inspire my videography interest.
Thanks!
Outstanding job on this. Professional Quality through out entire video. Need more from you. thanks
Now this is realism!
Fantastic! What an amazing video. Thank you very much for the excellent cinematography and storyline! It was very enjoyable, I even chuckled aloud. Great job!
Fantastic!!!
Just like Thomas Jeffery from Virginia, I remember you from the TM videos except I remembered the name first and then watched your newer video. Very good video. Good videography and I enjoyed the story. WOW ! Talented layout builder, videographer AND writer.
Thank you very much.
