Beautiful Railroad!
Great detail! I can feel the rumble of the trains through my shoes.
I think I spotted my first car waiting at a crossing!
Really nice presentation and realistic operation. Lots of good work and attention to detail.
Very realistic and beautiful railroad.
Great layout and fantastic detail all round too.
Wow this layout its amacing. incredilbe details… Just perfect.
Love the details in all the scenes. Excellent video of a excellent layout. Forgot it was a model when I saw the guy working on his garden railway. ttle larger than G scale I think! Thanks again for the peek and wish there were more than 5 stars because you deserve it,
Great Thanks
Stay with it to the end; It is truly stirring. I would have liked to have heard some horns for the crossings
An enormous amount of work must of went into this layout, but the result is much realism and beauty.
Thanks so much for sharing.
Excellent Mine is also CN in my backyard
Thanks for all the kind comments. They are very much appreciated. Especially now as I’m in over my head installing AirWire Drop-ins and Phoenix sound. BIG job but it will be done in a few months.
Thanks again.
Dave
very nice i have a southern pacific cn coal theam in my back yard over 700ft and growing now into my garage but very nice layout u have the detale is ex keep up the work i no the feeling of it will never be done
An excellent layout which shows what can be done in 1:29. We model 1960s branchline running with first generation diesels in Tennessee/Arkansas so really enjoyed this layout , the trains, the buildings and all the careful details which add up to such a great layout.
Keep up the good work, David!
Some time ago I had authentic horns built into two of my GP9’s but they fell into disuse over the years. I used a telephone answering cct that I used to be able to pick up at Radio Shack (When they catered to hobbyists rather than sell phones and games to kids) for about $15.00. I recorder the grade crossing signal on an organ in D flat m and set it off with a magnet in the track and a reed relay under the fuel tank. I loved it but I also love real SOUND. Wife didn’t like it so much. Now with AirWire Drop-ins and Phoenix sound I have it all again even if thhey are US horn sounds.
Great layout and excellent scenery . Enjoyed the clip. Thanks
Beautifully detailed railway. Thanks for taking me on a tour of your well done line.
AWESOME!
I appreciate your correct time frame modeling! Your time frame permits running older boxcars with and without roofwalks and of course the modern fleet which were delivered without roofwalks from the car builders after the mandate had been served to no longer include them on the tops of boxcars.
I have noticed layouts featured in the model magazines with a specific year modeled before the mandate was issued to remove the roofwalks with boxcars without them thus ruining an overall nice view of a railroad at work but with wrong era freightcars mixed in with the ones that properly fit the era modeled! Another layout modeled in 1955 even has a modern Coke (Reg.U.S.Pat.Off.) sign under the roof of a cafe on Main Street! The image wasn’t used by Coca-Cola until their new image look was introduced in the late 60s!
You got “the whole nine yards” right from the Get Go! Hope we see more!

Truly an outstanding layout! The speed of the train is prototypical. the angle of photography is realistic. Obviously a great deal of thought & work wen into this poroject, producing exellent results!! Keep up the good work Dave!!
