I returned home yesterday after some two and half weeks’ work in Toronto, where I was serving as an interpreter for a travelling museum exhibit at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). When the 11:13 AM Lakeshore East GO Train arrived, I was both amused and delighted to see that the big MP40PH-3C passenger locomotive was numbered “622.” This locomotive featured a continuously-clanging bell (or at least, when travelling through station areas, as per Canadian law), reminding me of a certain other locomotive with an identical number and a continously-ringing bell! An interesting coincidence, to say the least.
