A drawing of the GE evolution series locomotive.

I thought I’d show off one of my drawings that I am getting really close to finishing![tup]

The front half of the locomotive. Yes, I know the GE logo is a little smaller than it is on the real thing but I was just testing different forms of the logo in different sizes.

The back half. Now like I said I am getting really close to finishing this drawing.

Just to let some of you know that you may have seen this drawing on the GE website. I did not trace it. Infact you might notice that the back half of the locomotive is actually closer than in the real picture. I purposely did this to give it a new view.

Enjoy!

Fantastic. [tup]

the word ‘‘awesome’’ comes to mind after seeing your drawing on the trains forum website.you are a very talented person.it would be great that after you finish your drawing to post it up again on the trains website forum for us railfans to enjoy.i have an idea why not send your drawing to the editors at trainsmag and see if they are willing to publish it in thier magazine? i would like to see it published for sure.

That sounds like a great idea… I just need to finish it and color it a little. I know how to color, don’t worry I won’t ruin it.[;)] But I will definitely think about doing that. It would be interesting to see it the magazine.

Thanks for the the idea.

I’m speechless…

Absolutely gorgeous…no other way to describe it.

I’ve done a fair bit of drawing like that myself, but I must say…wow!

How long did that beauty take you?

Well, I did it over a week but I suppose it too me about 7 hours or so. I got it don and should probably send it on it’s way to the mag, but where do I go to do that!!??

Thanks for any help.[tup]

Happy railroading[(-D]

Nice drawing! I used to be able to draw a pretty good loco in the past, but modern power is outta my league when it comes to illustrating. You captured it nicely. I always has a problem with the trucks.
