I just had an idea for a feature for my layout. An eye catcher if you will, a “sinkhole” with old cars run off into it along with other junk. Could be very interresting, hmmm.
There is an old open-pit mine, now water-filled, near Robertsdale, PA. The local authorities suspected that a gang of car-strippers had dumped a car in it.
By the time they were finished, they had pulled sixteen LAYERS of stripped vehicles out of the pit!
Think of the fun! Crane, multiple wreckers, the Sheriff, wrecks, more wrecks…
Also flatbed haulers. No way were any of those hulks going to be towed away on their own wheels.
