Not my photo but its certainly worth the plug and sharing with everyone here as i beleive its an excellent example of night photography from yesteryear by Ed Kaspriske.
Enjoy, Tom Mugnano

Beautiful. I still remember my first sight of a GG-1 at track level, in Washington Union Station, in 1968.

G was the most beautiful ugly locomotive of all time!
1957??? Huh??? Did I miss something???
Great shot of a fantastic motor!

1957?
How did they get a 1977/78 Dodge van back to 1957?
Oh, the Flux Capacitator…
just great!
Yes, it is a nice shot, and technically very well done ! Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
Except for the fact that it’s PC black - it’s a small miracle that such a “black hole” shows up at all ! However, since it can’t be the Tuscan Red with “cat’s whisker’s” stripes color scheme, I’ll just pretend that it’s the Brunswick Green (the reputed formula for which is “8 parts black & 1 part green”) livery instead . . .
