Here’s a video depicting the Orient Express, with a proper steam locomotive up front (Pacific 231K8) and Le Mistral (France’s most famous Crack train - it was a TEE of course - before the TGV era, only for the rich and famous going to the Côte d’Azur) at Lyon Perrache in France
Beautiful! Now if only someone would build a full size replica of the S.S. Normandie, we’d be all set!
Maybe one day,if someone crazy anough (with a deepless wallet) ‘grabs’ the Queen Mary in LA and will bring her to Le Havre, a 'proper’meet can be arranged (dream mode)

The little piece of Mistral that’s shown (preserved loco 6570, a sister of it - CC 21003, a ‘dual current’ engine - was teted in the NEC in the seventies as X995, but didn’t like the state of track), preseved loco 6570 and a power car (on these trains it wasn’t used HEP, hence it’s presence) are nice too. But I believe there are more cars around
There’s a few of these cars around, there’s the Venice-Simplon Orient Express and one other travel outfit that uses these cars whose name escapes me. I was in Munich in 2008 and there were a few of these parked at the Hauptbahnhof for a week as a conference centre, judging by the tables, screens and whatnot that I saw through the windows.
