I have a proto dcc E6 that stopped working. The sound starts up for a second and repeats itself over and over with that short portion of the start up sequence. Thats it, no movement. Worked fine the night before. Ofcourse I tested other locos, all good.
May I respectfully suggest that a post title of Proto DCC E6 Stopped Working would get you more eyeballs and be searchable in the future.
Have you tried a decoder reset?

If you want to change the title of the thread as Henry suggested, just go back to the original post and hit ‘Edit’. You can then re-do the title. Lots of people will skip right over a thread with an ambiguous title.
Could you tell us what decoder is installed? Do you know how to do a reset?
