There was a very neat article titled Winter in Northern California in the DEC 06’ issue of TRAINS.
In it the UP’s Donner Pass, Shasta Route, Modoc Line, and the BNSF “Highline” was described as well as the McCloud.
With that being said, the Highline that BNSF now owns and operates looked to be very impressive (pages 52-53).
I have but a few questions if anyone could please answer.
How many trains operate on the “Highline” that BNSF operates. (Klamath Falls to Keddie, CA).
