A new angle from Meyersdale on sandpatch

One of the few pictures of Q388 before the crew leaves the front door open for the open door policy for the remaining trip over sandpatch on Saturday. The crew does close the door before passing the Hyndman camera in downtown Hyndman at the base of the mountain.

Enjoy, Tom

Beautiful shot.

But Im not accustomed to seeing wind turbines on the east coast. Arent they something.

I have never before heard of an “open door policy”. Can someone explain what it is and the rationale for it?

…Really a nice shot Tom…and looks like the leaves are just about max in color now.

As for power producing windmills, that general area and closer now to Somerset has dozens of them…Another group is located near the western end of the “seven mile stretch” on the Lincoln Highway near Buckstown…Not too far from the crash site of Flight 93.

We here in Muncie are about to get a factory to produce these type of power producing wind mils. An Italian company, of which I don’t have the name in front of me at the moment is about to build a plant to build them and employ in the area of 450 people. Location will be at the exit to route 332 off I-69. Just west of Muncie.

Beautiful shot Tom. Only fault I could find with it is that those wind generators are not powering the train.
