A New N Scale site and Forum

If you havent checked it out yeat head over to www.nscale.net

OK I am posting this on the assumption that it is alright to advertise forums on other sites. I do know that a few of our members here are also members over there. If it is to make it we will need to support it. In addition to the forums NScale.net is also set up for event posting, Articles (on scratchbuilding, DCC wiring, ect…), product reviews, a Hobby Shop directory, Club News, ect… , you can also submit downloads and photos

Again if you havent already checked it out please check out www.nscale.net

Note: I am in no way affiliated with NScale.net other then the fact that i am a registered user over there. I am just trying to do may part and help promote a resource that is avalible to us N Scalers.

Starting up an NTrak Club in Flint, Michigan if you are interested please contact me either by PM or email me at eldorf[at]charter.net

Went there, checked it out, liked it. It still has some admittedly design problems of which the administrators are well aware.

It’s not an exclusive forum, you don’t HAVE to run N-scale to participate. Many of the ideas posted on this and the N-scale site can be applied to almost any scale. Of course, I’m not too sure about trying it in 1:1 scale!

That’s pretty well par for the course. I haven’t seen a forum, yet, without some snag or other. Takes time!

Todd is slowly trying to work out all the bugs. I have been communicating with him on possible improvements to the site. If you have any suggestiosn I will gladly relay them to Todd.

Ev en though I am not officially connected to the site I am trying to help improve the site so that it will be an excellent portal for N Scale Model Railroading. I believe that this site can and will benifit the model railroading community with a little work.

I gave it a look-see and it looks promising.
I joined yesterday but have not gotten the confirmation email it said I would get yet. Today when I tried to sign on it didn’t know me. Oh well, I’ll keep checking back. I’d like to see it succeed.

I have 1)Atlas N gauge DASH 8-40B & 2)GP-38/40. Imn the “real world” when would the “back end” lead a train on the Main Line and/or any other reason other than yard shunting? Both Models have Directional Headlights; Thanks for your help!

Jim,

I have only seen it once, but I witnessed an empty coal unit train with the single helper leading the train with the double head lead at the end.

I guess they couldn’t turn it for some reason, but it was on the main and at speed.

And on a separate topic, I plan to checkout www.ncale.net.

Just checked it out and signed up, took about five minutes and I was in.

This looks like a pretty cool site, speaking as an n-scaler. I bookmarked it and plan to check it out over a coupe of weeks. Thanks for the tip.

We work hard to make it a useful site. Please let us know what we can do to make it better.
