So, I really wanted a Thomas Train for the boys to run outside…and since they haven’t been produced in many years, I hear they aren’t the most reliable trains ever made, and they cost a “ton”…I thought I’d create “the almost next best thing”…
A New take on Thomas…
HLW had a few Clear Macks for $20…a STEAL…and now they are sold out! DANG!
they also have some “Republican” cars left over from the Dole days…
These go for about $15. each-Nice bashing material…tough as to be expected from HLW as well!
A little paint and letters and this is what we finish up with!

The Blue on Thomas is ‘off’ but it was the closest I could find.

The Color for “Annie” is spot on…tried my best to make it all look “close”…the Boys Love it!

I figured that a ‘tough train’ like another Mack they could play with would extend the life of the others in the Roundhouse (dad’s trains)!
My eldest will be 4 in July…he wants his Mack painted in “Daylight Colors”…now that should be interesting!
