A new wood hopper

I finally completed my wooden hopper inspired by ET&WNC hoppers. Scratchbuilt with Kappler lumber, Hartford trucks, and parts by Hartford and Ozark.

I may have to build some more of these - it’s hard to just have one!

Nice Car Bruce! I’ve been following it over at MLS.

Bruce
looking at the web site, thats a work of ART. great job. Seeing how it goes together really helps.

Bruce what agreat job someday i will get there do you want to give a class on how to build that car jmozz

Thanks guys. That was a fun project. I’ll have to do a few more.

John, if you’ve never built from scratch before, I’d recommend following along with one of Phil Creer’s tutorials. Right now he’s doing a small reefer. It’s really nice to have someone show you the way. I wish I had for this - lots of miscues in this one, but it turned out nice.

Bruce I do follow Phil i have a box car almost done when i get there i will show you guys Ps Phil is a great teacher jmozz
