A nice resource about decals

Decals are one of the last refuges of what used to be referred to as “basement operators” – suppliers to the hobby that are small, often local, little budget for advertising, and not always able to catch the attention of Walthers and other distributors, so not likely to be in a hobby shop except perhaps near their location.

In a sense the internet has given a new lease on life to some of these suppliers. I am pretty sure this has been posted before on these Forums but – a good reminder – that the guy who runs Great Decals has generously opened his website to his small counterparts.

You could spend several hours exploring all those links. Indeed there is much of interest on the site in general http://www.greatdecals.com/

If you like turn of the century (1870-1920) or billboard reefer equipment, I suggest Art Griffin Decals. He has an extensive collection of both categories.

Good stuff, Dave. [tup] Thanks for posting the link. [:)]

And I enthusiastically endorse Model Railroad Supply listed as one of the links on that page. He produces excellent Monon decals!
