I’ve been installing quite a few Circuitron Tortoise slow motion turnout machines and out of 28 that i’ve installed so far, I had one that didn’t work at all…I sent it back to Circuitron and they mailed me a brand new one within a week…(they even sent my $3.00 check back for S&H because the one that was broken came right from the box)…I would just like to complement Circuitron for their quick and reliable service…it’s good to know when a company will stand behind their product and get any issues resolved in such an expedient manner…My hats off to you Circutron!..thanks!..chuck
I have to say I just love these things. The club I used tobelong to had over 100 of them installed, and not one ever failed. I have one that’s over 10 years old that I got curous and had to open up, voiding the warranty of course, but I wanted to see what it was like inside. It’s been apart and together many times. i have pushed it back and forth manually so fast that it sometimes strips the gears. Yet if I apply power it STILL moves as smoothly and quietly as brand new ones. Glad to hear that if you DO have a problem, the service is as good as the product itself.

cwclark,
Thanks for the info. I’ll echo the thoughts of you and Randy concerning Circuitron’s backing of their product and dedication to customer service. Many companies could learn a thing or two from them. While I’ve always been satisfied with the old twin coil machines, the slow motion motors have always intrigued me. While I was first put off by the cost of these things - their is one thing that has caused me to purchase some of these and start the conversion. That is the posts I have read on here about Circuitron and their Tortoise. Yeah, it might have cost Circuitron a couple of bucks to hook cwclark up - but it has convinced me to buy a bunch of Tortoises for my own layout.
What goes around, come’s around…I’ve been using them for 15 years and not one problem.Great product, great company
When I started my forth layout I decieded to try them, and now have better then 40 of them installed and have not had one fail. Great product
